TRAIN WITH ONE OF THE WORLDS MOST EXPERIENCED OFF ROAD MOTORCYCLE RIDERS: SIMON PAVEY
At Bikescape we are thrilled to collaborate with the renowned Dakar Rally racer Simon Pavey and his team in the “Off-Road Skills” training class at the Victorian High Country Motorcycle School. Being an experienced veteran of the road, Simon has participated in 10 Dakar events and has completed 8 of them.
The training weekend is followed by an incredible 5-day motorcycle ride with Simon as the leader, where the participants will be able to practice what they’ve learned. But that’s not all, Pavey will be running his “Adventure Maintenance Course” a day before the “Off-Road Skills” training class too.
At this workshop you’ll be learning how to carry out emergency repairs if it’s needed on the move. This can be added to your “Off-Road Skill” course booking in the online form. For more information see trip extension details.
Please note: A Bikescape rental bike is not available if booking this course without the 5 day Australian Adventure as well.

TOUR HIGHLIGHTS
- Learning to lift, balance and manoeuvre a motorcycle in awkward situations.
- Maneuvering the motorcycle at slow speeds, and clutch control exercises.
- Improved braking ability.
- Ascending and descending hills safely and confidently.
- Trail riding on gravel fire roads and dirt tracks.
- Changeover ride (a short opportunity to test-ride the various bikes).
