Luggage on a bikeThe more gear you pack, the heavier the bike will be, increasing the difficulty to handle – consider carefully exactly what you will require and only pack that. The bigger touring bikes often include panniers, and the medium bikes have racks on the back that can have either your own bag or one of our purpose built bike bags attached to. A small rucksack for everyday items is useful so that you don't have to keep unpacking everything to get at your camera for example. Cargo net type bungees are good and you'll need at least a couple of standard ones. Make sure you pack dry clothing in waterproof plastic bags because there is nothing worse than wet clothes! - a good tip is to pack each days clothing into an individual plastic bag. |
